This poem was written by nice elderly woman named Ms. Patricia Warren that the students met when they visited The New Grove Center Nursing Home, 101 N. Grove St.., East Orange.  She is 68 years young, and students indicated that she was a joy to speak to. She writes poetry all of the time.  She always has her notebook handy to write down ideas when they come to her.

I hold for the son & his child, and their saftey my heart employ. 

Bringing me sunshine in dark days of rain. 

Bringing hope when none abide

Happiness they will fill me all the days of my life

Tho my soul I must constantly hide Joy love and of all things bright & beautiful

Of all things tried & true is the love I have for my son & his child making my dreary world again look bright and new

Of all things of expectation of all things bringing joy

happiness prayer to my God Divine please keep them always in the bossum of thy wing as I  walk thru this world and pray.
